Christoph Mertens (Berlín 1966) has lived and worked in Barcelona since 2003. There are certain elements of his work, particularly the rational minimalism typical of his German roots, which preserve a certain ideological rigidity. The combination with his burgeoning Mediterranean influence has made this sculptor tremendously suggestive and of universal appeal. With the ANGELS at THE MIRROR we are able to appreciate the quality and passion of this particularly significant artist.
